HETTINGA, Dena H. of Kalamazoo Received into her Lord’s arms, November 23, 2009 at Tendercare Kalamazoo. She was born March 3, 1929 in Hollandale, MN to the late John and Jessie Posthumus Timmer. Dena was a longtime member of Faith Reformed Church. She loved gardening, raising collies and shelties.
Surviving Dena are her children, Karen Jeff Foster, Susan Thomas Kramer, Dawn Hart, Bonnie Rey Granado, and Jimm Opt’Hoff; grandchildren, Andy, Travis, Justin, Brandon, Jacob, Darrin, Nicholas, Johnathan, Jesse, Alicia and Jenny; and great grandson, Ayden. Also preceding her in death was the father of her children, Robert Opt’Hoff, in 2006.
