She was born at home on the family ranch in Los Montoyas, New Mexico in the early fall of 1928 to José Dolores and Demetria (of Ribera, New Mexico) Montoya. On Saturday, October 4, 1947, she married her sweetheart, Adelaido “Lalo” Trujillo. Lalo and Tita were married until his passing in 2008, just months shy of their 61st wedding anniversary. They raised four children, Ricardo Trujllo, Lucille (Wayne) Johnson, Edwin (Gina) Trujillo, and Judy Trujillo Payne. One of six children, she remained the last living sibling. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, and her oldest daughter, Lucille; her husband, Wayne; and their youngest child, Eric Johnson. The Heavens rejoice that all are reunited.
