Delton Joseph Elee, 83, a resident of Deming passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Delton was born August 11, 1934 to William and Ella (Dartlon) Elee in Campti, Louisiana.  Delton moved to Deming in 2005 coming from Lake Havasu, Arizona, and made Deming his home.  He served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was a member of the Moose Lodge.  Most recently he played bass guitar for a local band playing at the Senior Citizens Center and La Fonda.  He enjoyed gardening especially roses for his wife, Elizabeth, and loved the outdoors.  Delton was a communicant of the Catholic Church.

Delton is survived by daughter, Debra Wilson and husband Scott of Deming; brothers, Hubert and Jackie Elee of Monroe, LA, Roy Elee of Eros, LA, Larry Elee and wife Cindy of LA; sister, Norma Hance and husband William of Monroe, LA; brother-in-law, Larry Shockley and wife Helen of Deming; nephew, Steven Cockroft, and niece, Cheryl Newsted both of Deming; 2 grandchildren, Stacey Severson and husband Brian, Kyle Nendel and wife Tuyét both of Kelso, WA; 2 great-grandchildren, Mikial and Odette; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, William and Ella Elee, and wife, Elizabeth Elee on November 25, 2014.
