Delphine C. (Marchiori) Mazzetti, 87, formally of Peru, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at Clare Oaks Health Care Center, in Bartlett, IL.
Mrs. Mazzetti was born in Mark, IL on November 25, 1923 to Adolpho and Maria (Battaglia) Marchiori . She married David J. Mazzetti on April 4, 1942 at Sacred Heart Church, Granville. He passed away February 19, 1983. She worked as an admissions clerk at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Peru, St. Joseph Sodality, Peru Moose Lodge, the Eagles Lodge and Elk Lodge. Earlier in life she was a hospice volunteer. She was an avid golfer and card player.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Jane (Larry) Johnson of Geneva and Davida (Steven) Crain of Benicia, CA; 5 grandchildren, Lori Woodward, David Carroll, Michael Carroll, Anthony Johnson and Nicholas Crain; 5 great grandchildren; a brother Charles (Emily) Marchiori of LaSalle; 6 nieces and 1 nephew.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David and a daughter Trina Carroll in 2005.
Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Matt Dalpiaz, Nicholas Crain, Steven Crain, David Carroll, Anthony Johnson and James Mazzetti.
