DeLoris Beyers
DeLoris Wava Belk Beyers, 89, of Melbourne FL formerly of Billings, MT, died peacefully in her sleep on July 7, 2016. Born May 12, 1927 in Bismarck, ND. She is predeceased by her parents, Floyd Robinson. and Esther Marie Baker Belk of Bismarck, ND; her husband of 61 years, Charles Robert “Bob” of Billings, and son Terrance “Terry”; granddaughter, Amber Beyers; four sisters, Ruth, Althea, Marge and Darl and one brother, Al. DeLoris and Bob started their family in Wing, ND before moving to Montana in 1962.
DeLoris graduated in 1946 from Bismarck High School and went on to work for the local telephone company as an operator, then North Dakota Bank as a teller. DeLoris retired from Gibson’s Department Store in Billings, Montana in1989. She loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing with the family, photography, counted cross stitch, and crocheting beautiful blankets and table cloths for friends and family and playing Pacino with her friends at One Senior Center. DeLoris and Bob would enjoy the offerings of Montana in the spring and summer and winter in Melbourne Florida until Bob’s passing in 2008. DeLoris moved permanently to Melbourne in 2013.
Survivors include her brother, Bill Belk, son, James (Bonnie) Roberts MT and Palm Bay FL; daughters Scherrie (James) Knight, Laurel MT and Janet and Gail Beyers, Melbourne, six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
