Deloris Cook, 91, of Moberly, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Arbors at Ravenwood in Moberly. She was born August 23, 1925 in Busch, MO to Carl Harrison England and Willie Addie (Gillis) England.
Deloris married Kale Kermit Cook on September 21, 1944 in Clarksville, MO and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Ira, Carl and William England and a granddaughter, Shannon Devenport.
She was a member of the Calumet Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, MO. She had been a Girl Scout leader, and loved all children. She was a very accomplished seamstress.
She is survived by her children, Janet Aguilar and her husband Al of Kansas City, MO, Joyce Dunlop and her husband Rick of St. Charles, MO, Jo Devenport and husband Stephen of Cairo, MO, Kale Kermit Cook, Jr. and his wife Susan of Columbia, MO, Jerri Ann Cook of Florida and Jina Davis of Moberly, ten grandchildren, Deedra Stoneking Davis and husband Chris, Dustyn Parsons, Brandyn Patel and Ajay, Tobias Cook, Rhen Leahy, Taegan Shearer and Bradley, Jordan Swartz and James, Kaleb Ryan and Sarah, Addison Ryan and Kolin Davis, 18 great- grandchildren, Taylour Benjamin, Savannah Ranes, Maleena Patel, Alexandra McCarthy, Callahan Ranes, Kaleigh McCarthy, Zara Patel, Anaysia Leahy, Warrick Leahy, Grant Shearer, Maddie Shearer, Jay Paul “Trey” Maconi III, Cameron Leahy, Penelope Swartz, Ava Ryan, Kara Ryan, Amelia Maconi and Sebastian Swartz, nieces, nephews, sister’s-in-law, Edith Cook and Dolly England, other relatives and friends.
Deloris enjoyed Moberly Greyhound basketball; Moberly Spartan football, and Missouri Tiger football, and her and her husband had been season ticket holders for a number of years. She loved to write short stories. Her biggest love was the farm in Clarksville, MO, where she enjoyed family reunions.
