DeLores M. (Wilson) Smith, 82, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born May 10, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Bert and Elizabeth (Pomeroy) Wilson. She was a homemaker who loved antiquing, line dancing, crafting and her enormous Christmas village.
DeLores is survived by daughters Marcia (Floyd) Hughes of Florence, AZ and Debbie Anderson of Fortville; son Randy (Bonnie) Smith of Plainfield; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild and great-great-grandchild due in March; and sisters Virginia Basham and Barbara Stoffer, both of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil A. “Smitty” Smith, whom she married on December 2, 1947 in Indianapolis; bonus son John Anderson; and brother James Wilson.
