Delores M. Crook

Mrs. Delores M. Crook, of Bay City, passed away Tuesday evening, May 2, 2017 at the Bay Shores Nursing Center, age 89. She was born on June 13, 1927 in Bay City to Edward and Helen (Wizner) Leske. Delores was a lifelong resident of Bay City and retired from the Bangor Township School System. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school to 4 year-olds for many years. Delores had a love and interest in people and had a quick wit. She was a competitive player of cards and games of all kinds. Delores was a prolific crafter of knitted and crocheted items.
On October 12, 1946 Delores married Maurice “Maury” Crook and he preceded her in death in 1997. She leaves three children, Sherry (Dr. D.B.) Hill of Mountain Grove, MO, Maureen (Chet) Sielinski of Bay City and David Crook of Hoffman Estates, IL; five grandchildren, Todd Berner, Brad (Wendi) Hill, Jeff (Stacey) Sielinski, Debbie (Steve) Glaza and Kim (Michael) Heading; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward (Ann) Leske and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Crook. Delores is also survived by her extended family and friends, Rachel, Karen, Elizabeth Berner, Bill and Laurie Berner, Donna, Darlean, Larry, Ellie, Lucille and Glenda.
