Delores L. Brown, 80, of Jacksonville, IL died Saturday evening, January 17, 2015, at Passavant Hospital Transitional Care Unit in Jacksonville.

She was born October 23, 1934, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Pearl and Hazel Brown.

She is survived by three daughters, Kennetha Taylor (husband, Richard) of Alexander, and Joyce Brown and Sharon Brown, both of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, Gregory Brown of Springfield, Yavonna Brown of Charlotte, NC, and Latonya Brown, Regina Trumbo (husband, Austin), Marcus Brown, Lakesha Brown, and Keeley Brown, all of Jacksonville; a sister, Hazel Blackburn of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Brown; a grandson, Christopher Brown; and five sisters, Mary Mayberry, Pauline Jackson, Georgy Watts, Jessie Williams, and Maxine Watts.

Delores was a 1954 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She was formerly employed at Capitol Records and Barton W. Stone Christian Home. More recently, she worked 16 years as a shift manager for the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Jacksonville. She was a member of Mt. Emory Baptist Church.
