Delores Jean Hardwick, 81, of Jacksonville, IL died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 9, 1936 in White Hall, the daughter of Woodrow W. and Mildred Anthony Reveal. She married Dewey Hardwick on May 28, 1951 in Randolph County, AR and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2008.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Dismuke of Springfield; a granddaughter who was raised in her home, Anesia Lofton of Jacksonville; two great grandchildren, Tatianna and Isaiah Wilson of Jacksonville; a brother, Ronald Reveal of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cathy M. Barbour; and two brothers, James and Arthur Reveal.
Trained as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Delores was formerly employed at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield and later served as a private in-home caretaker. She enjoyed fishing, travelling, shopping, and spoiling her granddaughter and great grandchildren.
