Delores Jean “Dee” (Cappelletti) DeGolier, 88, of Elkhart left to be with Jesus on Saturday morning, April 15, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Elkhart, to Dominic and Ida (Fortino) Cappelletti. She married Gene E. DeGolier on April 29, 1950. He passed Nov. 18, 1995.
She was a devout Roman Catholic and member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Dee is survived by her children, David (Patricia) DeGolier of Middlebury, Patti (Patrick) Cripe of Bristol, Lori (Scott) Nine of Union, Michigan and Jodi (Rod) Ruch of Kokomo; her grandchildren, Amy (Reid) Hanley of Pensacola, Florida, Betsy Stamp of Bristol, Krystal Cripe of Washington, D.C., Tyler (Ashley) Nine of Coldwater, Michigan, Jordan (Kyle) Rudolph of Wayzata, Minnesota, Taylor Ruch (fiancé Wesley White) of Fishers, Colan Ruch of Kokomo; and great-grandchildren Porter, Banks and Graham Hanley, Andersyn and Finley Rudolph and Ava Nine; a sister, Josephine Pugliese of Cerritos, California; and two brothers, Bob (Irene) Cappelletti of Lansing, Michigan and Patrick (Pam) Cappelletti of Mesa, Arizona, as well as many beloved family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband; a son, Richard; granddaughter Janelle; her sister and best friend Florence; brother Frank and baby brother Dominic Jr., preceded her in death.
Dee was a 1947 graduate of Elkhart High School, where she was active with her class reunion committee and enjoyed planning the monthly luncheons.
She enjoyed watching sports, especially football, praying and saying her rosary daily, making people laugh, cooking amazing Italian meals and bossing her kids around.
But her greatest joy in life was her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
