Delores Dee A. Tabor, 75, of Ottawa, died Thursday morning, March 31, 2011, at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mrs. Tabor was born on July 12, 1935 in Ottawa to John and Bessie (Halterman) Mennie. She married Nicholas M. Tabor, Jr. on February 11, 1956, in Joliet. He died on July 8, 1998.
She was a registered nurse at Ryburn-King Hospital and Community Hospital of Ottawa for 25 years. Mrs. Tabor was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by one daughter, Kim (Michael) Foltz, of Wheaton, one son, Dr. Nicholas (Julie) Tabor III, of Ottawa, six grandchildren, Nicholas Tabor IV, Erica and Natalie Tabor and Matthew, Joseph and Laura Foltz, one brother, Leonard (June) Mennie, of Ottawa, and three sisters, Ruby Sis Lietz, of Ottawa, Alice Downey, of Crest Hill, IL and Joan Harvey, of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nicholas, and 4 brothers, Hubert, Johnny, Jim and Vernon.
