Deloris Ann Flanagan, 61, went to be with her Lord Jesus November 17, 2018. She is survived by her husband Danny Flanagan, her three sons, James Henderson and wife Kristi Henderson of West Virginia, Daniel Flanagan of Dalton, Georgia and Paul Flanagan and wife Sarah Flanagan of Dalton, Georgia, granddaughter Mary Flanagan, brother Joey Chastain and sister Trudy Calhoun. She had many nieces and nephews. Deloris was born Ochlocknee, Georgia. She lived in Dalton, Georgia, Savannah, Georgia, Thomasville, Georgia, Ellijay, Georgia and Florida. She fought through many years of health problems and was always able to make the best out of the worst. She was a fighter who always fought to the last round, proving that a person’s will to keep going can help overcome even the worst of situations. Deloris lived in many places. She loved the beach and the mountains. Her favorite food was bacon and boiled potatoes. She enjoyed the movie ‘The Trouble with Angles’ with Haley Mills. She loved Mayfield chocolate milk, Coca Cola and doing crossword puzzles. She loved listing to the ‘Gaithers’ and other gospel music. She loved the simple things in life, walks on the beach, sunsets, sweet summer nights, and of course, watching ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Jeopardy’. Deloris grew up in Thomasville, Georgia, and from the stories she told while growing up, life became very active at a young age for her. Through her life, the good and the bad, she kept fighting to the last round. She finally took off her gloves and went to rest with her Lord Jesus. Deloris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Knowing she is with her Lord Jesus now is a great comfort to those she left behind.
