Mrs. Delois Taylor Mitchell, 59, of 2108 Longview Drive Wilson, NC passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
Mrs. Mitchell was an ordained minister of the gospel and served as the choir director for Suggs Christian Temple Jr. Choir. Minister Mitchell and her husband, lovingly know as Tom, reared their children to know and love the Lord.
Minister Mitchell leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Charlie R. Mitchell Sr., loving known as Tom;one daughter, Cassandra Mitchell Carr of Wilson; two sons, Charlie Mitchell Jr.(Tennille) of Wilson and Alton Mitchell ( Monica) of Pittsburg, PA; her father, Wilburt Sharpe of Wilson; her mother, Barbara Jean Mobley of Saratoga; mother-in-law, Martha Lee Chestnut of Wilson; three grandchildren, Bryana Mitchell, Brittany Mitchell and Alexander Mitchell; one sister, Dorothy Pope ( Donnell) of Wilson; one brother, Jimmy Sharpe (Pam) of Elm City ; four sisters-in-laws, Mattie Horton, Doris Edwards (Johnnie B.) , Linda Faye Chestnut and Bernice Deans, all of Wilson; four brothers-in-law, Leonard Chestnut(Sadie) and Billy Chestnut, both of Fayetteville, James Shelly (Katie) of Wilson and Billy Ray Oxendine of Richmond, VA.; two aunts, Grace Hannah (Columbus) of Wilson and Helen Dixon (Willie Albert) of Saratoga; two uncles, Russell Taylor (Ethel) of Saratoga and Wallace Taylor of Macclesfield; and a host of special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
