Delletta C. Huisman of Hebron, NE the daughter of Charles and Emma (Snyder) Rood was born June 23, 1918 in Munden, KS. She departed this life Saturday January 23, 2010 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 91 years.
Delletta grew up in the Republic County area and attended school. She was a farm girl and a homemaker most of her life helping with chores and work around the farm. She kept in touch with much of her family via letters and sent numerous recipes, finding a way to connect across the miles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son James Huisman and one grandson Daniel Moses.
She is survived by two daughters; Bonnie Jean Moses and husband Roger of Port Angeles, WA and Susan Marrone and husband Nick of Lakewood, WA, 6 grandchildren; Tammi Lowery, Cori Mumau, Linda, Mark, Tiffany, and Todd Marrone, one great-grandchild Amanda Marrone, two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
