Della Faye Starrett, 99, St. Peters, passed away April 23, 2012 at Villages of St. Peters-St. Peters, Missouri; after a brief illness.
She was born January 30, 1913 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of her life. Della retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. She was a member of Madison Park Church of God. She is survived by her children, Michael Starrett Mary of St. Louis, Missouri and retired Lieutenant Colonial Patrick Starrett Jenny of Hinesville, Georgia; brother, Russell Ashby of Sewickley, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Stephanie Shiflett, Amy Turner Chris and Michelle Anderson Martin; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jim Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Starrett on May 15, 1996; parents, Willis and Leora Brown Ashby; infant daughter, Pamela Starrett; and siblings, Ethel McCrory, Everett Ashby, Halford Ashby, Nellie Smith, Annabelle Broadwater, Kenneth Ashby, Samuel Ashby, Donna Spoo, Jessie Ashby, and Dessie Ashby.
