She had two daughters, Janice DeMond and Sharon Ascherman, three grandchildren, Kristina and Timothy DeMond, and Shelley Espe, five great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. There were many more who Della considered family and called her grammee.
She loved family outings, dinners and teaching others about her rocks and gems. We all grew up with a love for digging in the dirt for our own gems. Being raised on a ranch, she loved horses, so joining the Silver Spurs Riding Club in the 1940’s came naturally. She wore many hats over the years including, nurse to the cowboys and clowns. In 2012 she was honored with the Women’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
