Delford L. “Murf” Murfin, 78, Anderson, died October 22, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis after an extended illness.
He was born February 13, 1932 in Anderson, and was a lifelong resident. A 1950 graduate of Anderson High School, he served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1988 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors He was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church Survivors include his wife, Betty Reeves Murfin, whom he married October 18, 1953; daughter, Teresa Larry Anderson of Middletown; son, Timothy Murfin of Pleasant View, TN; sisters, Betty Kenneth Manson of Dallas, TX and Alma Ray Steigerwalt of Anderson; five grandchildren, Joshua and Eric Anderson, Kreston, Keegan and Kaleb Murfin and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence & Vada Mills Murfin and daughter-in-law, Karrie Murfin.
