Delbert Mullens, 85, of Davenport, IA., died May 22, 2008, at Oak Glen Home in Coal Valley, IL. He was born June 27, 1922, near Arenzville, the son of William and Olvina Smith Mullens. He married Jean Briggs and he preceded her in death in 1980. He later married Iris Bates.
He is survived by one son, Gary Mullens of Sherrard; two grandchildren, Brian Mullens of Milan and Katie Mullens of Madison, WI.; eleven brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mullens worked as a custodian for Black Hawk College and also worked various construction jobs. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island.
