          Parker City-Delbert M. Crim, 90, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 18, 2011, at the Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. He was born on November 15, 1920 in Rush County, Indiana, the son of Ferris Harvey and Myrtle Ethel (Enyeart) Crim.  

          Delbert married the love of his life, Virginia May (Seitz) Crim on December 22, 1945 and she preceded him in death on February 21, 2007.   Mr. Crim had served in the U.S. Army with the 434th Fighter Control Squadron of the Army Air Corps, having seen action during the Rhineland Campaign.   He had worked for Marhoefer Packing Company in the shipping dept. for 25yrs. Mr. Crim  then worked as a Custodian for the Westview Elementary School prior to his retirement in 1991.

          Surviving are two sons, Harold Lee Crim (wife-Kathy), Columbus, Indiana and Marvin Eugene “Gene” Crim (wife- Cathie), Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; one daughter, Jennifer Linn Crim, Winchester; five grandchildren, Daryl Crim, Columbus, IN, Nicholas Crim (wife-Krissy), Decatur, Illinois, Phillip Crim (wife-Sarah), Chatham, Illinois, David Smith, Muncie, Julie Smith, Winchester; one like a granddaughter, Diana Scheindenberger, Yorktown; several nieces and nephews.

          Besides his wife of 61yrs Virginia, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
