Delano R. Herrod, 78, of Clarksburg, formerly of Marshville, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born April 20, 1933 in Marshville, the son of the late Odbert J. Herrod and Ruth Thompson Herrod. He is survived by one sister-in-law; Mary Betty Williams Herrod of Clarksburg; very close friends, Steve and Ruth Gum of Clarksburg and their son Steven D. Gum II; one brother; Eldon B. Herrod of Parkersburg, WV and one sister; Lucille Herrod of Somerville, N.J. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Mansfield, Jack, Oral and Emerson Herrod and four sisters; Mildred Gallo, Pearl Junior, Ruth Boline and June Runner. Delano graduated from Bristol High School in 1956.
