Deirdre Ann DePaola, age 65, of Southington, formerly of Hamden and West Haven passed away with her family by her side on Thursday April 7, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Emmet V. and Helen Alice Kolensky Hibson. Loving wife of Richard DePaola. Cherished mother of Kimberly Rust of Southington and Meredith (Gabe) Minnocci of Wallingford. Beloved grandmother of Madison Rust. Sister of Emmet (Ann) and Robert Hibson both of West Haven and the late Maureen Coffey. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends. For over 25 years she was a nurse for the Hospital of St. Raphael. The family would like to thank Dr. Balsamo, Dr. Kortmansky, the MOH staff, and Middlesex Hospital Hospice unit for their care and support during her last days.
