Deidra was born September 2, 1970, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dennis Alan Daw and Dona Marlene Nash Daw. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Skyline High School. She also attended Pierce College in Washington.
She married William Patrick Magrini in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. At the time of her death, she was engaged to be married to Brad Rotz, the love of her life for the past 14 years.
