Dee Ann Rea, 71 of Phoenix passed away May 18, 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ. Dee Ann was born June 24, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the daughter of Arthur and Doris Modarelli. A loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her daughters, Leslie Refsnes and Michelle Smith, sons, AJ and Glenn Rea, eight grandchildren, Barkley her dog, her mother-in-law, Harriet Goldsmith, and her sister Lee Ann Mauro.
A wonderful mother and grandmother, Dee will be greatly missed by those blessed to have known her. She was always counted on to bring levity, a trip to the movies, and making sure everyone is up to date on the latest American Idol.
