Debra Sue “Debbie” Trigger, 61, of Galesburg, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, January 28, 2019, 7:55 AM, at her home. Debbie was born on August 21, 1957 in Peoria. She was the daughter of Clarence R. and Patricia E. (German) Kiddy. She married James E. Trigger on November 25, 1976 in Iowa.
He preceded her in death, on July 25, 1988. Debbie is survived by her two children Wayne Trigger of Roseville and Joni Trigger of Galesburg; her mother, Patricia of Galesburg; a brother, Clarence “Ray” Kiddy, Jr. (Angie Beuter) of Pekin; four grandchildren, Alex Trigger, Zach Trigger, Madison Trigger and Chadrick Olson; and her beau of seven years, James Matthews of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandmother, Sara E. German, and her husband James. Debbie was a graduate of Washington High School.
She was a very proud CNA. She worked for the Knox County Nursing Home for 19 years, retiring in May 2017. She loved her career and taking care of her residents. Debbie also loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was an animal lover, especially cats. She also loved to cook, garden, and ride the motorcycle. She was a member of the Knox County A.B.A.T.E.
