Debra Lynn Smith Glaenzer, 60, of Jacksonville, IL died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born December 19, 1950 in Jacksonville; the daughter of Ernest M. and Edith Breakville Smith. She married Gary L. Glaenzer on March 12, 1992 in Jacksonville and he survives.

She is also survived by four stepsons, John A. Glaenzer of Woodridge and Michael D. Glaenzer (wife, Brandi), Andrew G. Glaenzer (wife, Laveta), and Matthew C. Glaenzer (wife, Rosa), all of Jacksonville; seven step grandchildren; a sister, Karen Turner (husband, Olan) of Lincoln; a brother, Michael T. Smith (wife, Patty) of Quincy; and six nieces and nephews, Tamera Turner of Bloomington, Traci Keiffer (husband, Dwayne) of Dillsburg, PA, Christopher Smith (wife, Julia) and Olan Turner Jr., all of Springfield; and Brayden Carder and Lucas Smith, all of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Danny, in infancy.

Debbie was a 1969 graduate of Jacksonville High School and was employed several years at Capitol Records in Jacksonville. More recently, she enjoyed baking desserts and candy for Bahan’s Tavern and several Jacksonville area families. Her favorite pastime was spoiling her nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren.
