Debra Joyce (Herndon) Roegner, 64, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Debra was born on October 30, 1956 in Indianapolis to the late Marilyn (Rudolph) Vaughn.
Debra was a joy to talk to and loved catching up with family and longtime friends over the phone. She had a talent for cooking and always looked forward to eating great food herself. She was obsessed with collecting antiques and had a number of interests and passions, including music, plants and flowers, iced tea, sweets, and animals of every kind, especially dogs. In her free time, Debra enjoyed creating and making country crafts, completing crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite television shows on Lifetime.
Debra is survived by her children, Willie, Patrick, and Angela Roegner; her grandchildren, Noah, Olivia, Mark, Eleanor, James, and Lucy Roegner, Jordan Mendoza, and Kelsey Bryant; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Laura Dicken and Mark Herndon; her best friend, Joni McClanahan.
Debra was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Marilyn and John Vaughn, her lifelong friend, Sherry Long, and her beloved dog, Lilly.
