Debra Jo Campbell, age 60 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at UW Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born March 15, 1958; the daughter of the late Merle and Leola (Cox) Aeling. She was a 1976 graduate of Freeport High School. Debra married Mark Campbell on June 17, 1978; they had been sweethearts since age 13.
She spent her time as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. She was a Girl Scout Leader and volunteered at school for her children and grandchildren. Debra was a do-it-yourself and enjoyed collecting baskets, shopping and going to garage sales. Her family and friends were her whole world and she especially loved playing with her grand-kids.
Debra is survived by her husband Mark; children, Michelle (Joshua) Rappuhn of Belvidere, April (Mike) Carey of Freeport, and Justin (Jenna) Campbell of Pecatonica; grandchildren, Charles Gill, Alexis Gill, Christopher Schoenhard, Sabrina Rappuhn, and Maximus Rappuhn; great granddaughter, Avianna Profit; brothers, Daniel (Doris) Aeling and David Aeling; sister, Amy DeRose; and several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merle Aeling Jr; and sister, Susan Aeling.
