Debra “Debbie” A. Smith-McClain, 64, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home.
Debbie was born July 16, 1954 in Centralia, the daughter of William Arthur. Smith and Betty Ruth (Friend) Teleford.
Debbie is survived by her mother: Betty Teleford; daughter: Jodi Tellefsen and husband Frank of Centralia; son: Jeremy McClain and wife Kathy of Centralia; three grandchildren: Blade Tellefsen of Centralia, Bradden Tellefsen of Centralia, and Elle Jo McClain of Centralia; brother: Steve Smith and wife Charlene of Centralia; three nephews: Chris Smith and wife Rachel of St. Louis, MO, Shawn Smith and wife Maria of West Bend, WI, and Scott Smith and wife Holly of Green Rivers, KY; three nieces: Jennifer Moll and husband Justin of Bridgeton, MO, Dana Gowler and husband Travis of Mt. Vernon, and Melinda Smith of Flora; sister-in-law: Patricia “Pat” Hodges of Mt. Vernon. Debbie is preceded in death by her father: William A. Smith; brother: Randy Smith; and an infant great grandson Maxson Tellefsen.
Debbie graduated Centralia High School Class of 1972. She was very talented making many types of crafts. In her younger years, she groomed pets at the Doggie Den for many years. She later went to work for the Dollar General Store in Central City for sixteen years, where she loved her work family and customers. Most of all, Debbie enjoyed every minute she had spending time with her family and friends.
