Deborah Kay Orlandi, July 23, 1950 – March 6, 2019.

Deborah Kay (Evetts) Orlandi, 68, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Mrs. Orlandi was born on July 23, 1950 in Gatesville, Texas to BB and Anita (Ross) Evetts. She was raised in Temple and graduated from Temple High School. Mrs. Orlandi received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Central Texas College and began a long career as an RN at both Scott and White Hospital and at King’s Daughters Hospital in Temple.

She was twice awarded nurse of the year at Scott and White and once at King’s Daughters. Deborah’s passion in nursing was with the pediatric unit. She retired in 2011 after 31 years combined caring for her patients as though they were her own children. Mrs. Orlandi married Carl Orlandi in Belton on May 15, 1987. She attended Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple for many years and later attended local cowboy churches.

Deborah was preceded in death by her birth mother and brother at the age of five. Her father also preceded her in death as well as sons Jeffrey Frenzel and Clifford Frenzel, and a sister Cindy Evetts Pickett.

She is survived by her husband Carl Orlandi of Temple, her mother Dorothy “Andy” Evetts of Belton, daughter Stacy Hilton of Moody, Texas, son Chad Pickett of Temple, daughters Trisha Pickett of Temple, Edie Costlow of Plano, Texas and Jerelyn Orlandi of Los Angelas, Ca. Also surviving is her brother Michael Evetts of Oglesby, Texas, sisters Phyllis Evetts of Austin and Beth Burleson of Belton, and six grandchildren.
