Deborah “Debbie” Capriotti, 62 of Grafton passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was born August 23, 1953 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Oscar and Louise Gegor Riddle. Debbie is survived by her husband of thirty five years, John Capriotti; one daughter, Gabrielle Capriotti and fiancé Nathan Foster; one sister, Shirley Gordan, VA; lifelong friends, Sis Bruner, Elkins and Twila Smith, Philippi. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Concannon, MD. Debbie graduated from Suitland High School, Forestville, MD; Bachelors from Fairmont State and her Masters from West Virginia University. She was a teacher in Taylor County for twenty eight years and loved her students.
Debbie Capriotti was a teacher in Taylor County who loved her students. She was often selected as a Rotary Honor Teacher by high school seniors that she had an impact on during their early elementary education. Debbie loved decorating her house, cooking Sunday dinners with her secret recipe sauce, and keeping up with current events by watching Anderson Cooper on CNN.
She grew up in the city around Wash. DC but she found her perfect home in Grafton, West Virginia. She attended 4-H camp where she met most of her lifelong friends as a teenager and has loved it ever since. She knew she wanted to live with her husband, John and raise their beloved daughter, Gabrielle in this wonderful town. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, and teacher who never knew a stranger.
