Deborah Anne (Hudson) Bafumi, 57, of Middletown, beloved wife of Sebastiano G. Bafumi, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, July 6th surrounded by her loving family at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Hill) Hudson. Deborah lived in Middletown all of her life, worked as a nurse’s aide at Cromwell Crest and Sanibel Hospital and was employed at Auburn Manufacturing for a number of years. She enjoyed doing crafts, enjoyed wildlife and had a great love for horses. Deborah was a very giving person who nurtured all walks of life and loved her family more than anything in the world. Her beautiful smile, warm embraces, words of wisdom, and her silly sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Nicolino S. Bafumi and his wife, Izabella of East Haddam; three daughters, Gaetana Mercado and her husband, Ivan of Middletown; April Islam and her husband, Rafiqul “John” of Middletown and Graziella Bafumi and her fiancee`, Hiram Almodovar of Daytona Beach, FL; her sister, Catherine Montford of Woodville, FL; eleven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
