Deborah Anne Bennardi, 48, formerly of South Williamsport and most recently Blanchard, lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in Hampton, VA while visiting her sisters.
Deb had worked for W.T. Widmann’s Drug Stores, Roumour’s Bar and the Beech Creek Hotel. She was an avid gardener and was known for her big heart, quick wit and feisty sense of humor.
Born August 9, 1961 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of John A. and Judith R. Zimmerman Bennardi.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Judith R. and Lee E. Bieber of Watsontown; a brother, Mark F. (Lisa) of South Williamsport; sisters, Mary Ellen and Joan Bennardi, both of Hampton, VA; her maternal grandmother, Carmen S. Zimmerman of South Williamsport; her long-time partner, Randy Koons and his son Trapper of Blanchard; a stepbrother, Todd (Karen) Bieber of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; stepsisters, Leslie Bieber of Bloomsburg and Lori (Jeff) Weiner of Marston Mills, Mass.; and three nieces and one nephew.
Deb was predeceased by her father and grandparents, Rudolph and Ann Bennardi and Francis X. Zimmerman.
