Deborah Ann Johnson, 51, of Macomb, IL passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Franciscan Health East, Lafayette, IN.
She was born March 4, 1970, in Chicago, IL to the late Sandy Johnson and Mattie Jean Wright. She graduated from John F Kennedy High School and worked as a customer service representative in the Hospitality Industry.
Deborah was a loving, but honest and straightforward person. She loved to entertain guests by cooking barbecue and being the life of the party! There was no dull moment being in her present from the jokes she made to the statements she said. She brought joy to the people around her. She was a very hard-working woman who was very trustworthy and full of integrity. She was very involved in her community and was protective of those who lived there. Deborah was a wonderful grandmother who was so proud of her grandchildren. They brought her great joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
She is survived by her 5 children, Tyeasha (Terrell Jones) Johnson, Tyren Johnson, Kyris Gainey, Kyshea (Stacey Hall) Johnson, and Kyandrea Johnson; 5 siblings, Percy Lee Johnson and Rocky Johnson, both of Oakland, CA, Dr. Angel Johnson of Chicago, IL, Diana Johnson and Kau Lauder Johnson, both of Lafayette, IN; and 6 grandchildren, Carmellya Jones, Tyreese Cole, Kyrie Gainey, Kavayah Johnson, Cali Jones, & Annalise Hall; and significant other, Jay Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Jean Wright and Sandy Johnson; a brother, Stanley Duplisis, and a sister, Doreatha Johnson.
