Obituary of Deborah Ann Hannigan
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother whose grace, kindness and love touched the lives of all who knew her. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota and a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy she chose Jim Hannigan as her life partner and their loving marriage spanned over fifty-two years. Together they founded the J&J Distributing Company where she was not only a dynamic businesswoman but an inspiration and guide to those with whom she worked. Her greatest joy was found in her children; Stephanie, Christopher (deceased) and Kevin, and her two grandchildren, Zoe and Isabel. Diagnosed with cancer in October 2016, she fought a courageous battle and died in the loving care of the staff of NC Little Hospice assisted by Our Lady of Peace Hospice. At the time of death she was surrounded by her loving family and died with the peace of an angel. She is survived by her husband; Jim Hannigan; her daughter, Stephanie Melstrom; granddaughters, Zoe Doane and Isabel Doane, Stephanie’s husband Jake Melstrom; son, Kevin Hannigan and wife Sharon; sisters Christine Perz and Martha Bogie and brothers, Scott DeLisi and Andrew DeLisi.
