Deborah A. “Midget” Cawley, 63, of Elkhart, peacefully passed on to her heavenly home at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Center for Hospice Care, in Elkhart, following an extended illness.
She was born June 3, 1953, in South Bend, to the late Victor and Wanda (Myers) Miller.
She later married William M. “Bill” Cawley on July 14, 1980, in Elkhart. He preceded her in death in August of 2015.
Also surviving are her sons, Matthew Cawley and Robert Hackney, both of Elkhart, Lance (Paula) Profitt of Marcellus, Mich., and Jeremy (Sonni) Proffitt of Middlebury; sisters Penny Miller of Elkhart, Barb (Butch) Sweet of Niles, Mich., Trula (Ted) Sisson of Union, Mich., and Connie (Terry) Hoopengardner and Tina (Daniel) Magee, both from Middlebury; her brother, Victor (Judy) Miller of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
