Debby J. Deckard, 63, of Bloomington passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Bloomington after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born, November 14, 1956 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Tommy and Jeannie (Peterson) Deckard.
Debby was a 1978 graduate of the Indiana University Kelly School of Business with a degree in Accounting.
Debby was a CPA and in public practice for over 30 years. In the late 1990’s Debby assisted her parents when they founded their business Tommy D’s Windows, Doors and More Inc. In 2010 upon the retirement of her parents,
Debby took a more active role in the management of the business until its sale in June of 2020.
Debby was an outdoor lover as well as an animal lover. Through the years there were many dogs, cats, and horses she spoiled and looked after, nothing she liked better than spoiling an animal. She had the belief that she was blessed with the best family and best friends that a person could ever hope to have.
Debby is survived by her mother, Jeannie Deckard, sister, Deanilee Deckard, aunt, Norma Hillenburg, cousins, Jack Hillenburg, Pete Hillenburg (Karen), and Andy Peterson. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy E. Deckard, grandparents, Ross and Bernice Deckard and Edward and Erma Peterson, aunt, Marjorie L. Deckard, uncle, Gordon Hillenburg, and aunt, Peggy J. Bender.
