Debbie L. Wolf, of Spring Valley, passed away too soon on April 21, 2017, at age 50 with her family by her side at St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley, after a brief battle with cancer.
Debbie was born in LaSalle, Illinois on April 27, 1966 to James D. and Lana (Crampton) Simpson, and grew up in Peru. She married Mike Wolf on December 18, 1987, in Ottawa. She was a 1984 graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School, and later attended Illinois Valley Community College where she completed coursework to earn her real estate license. She worked as a real estate agent in Peru for six years for Realty World, and later Coldwell Banker.
She also worked at One Hour National dry cleaners in Peru and Best Impressions in Oglesby.Debbie will be greatly missed by her surviving family, husband, Mike; mother, Lana Frecchio; mother-in-law, Donna (Donald) Gooden; brother, James Mecum; brother-in-law, Chuck (JoAnn) Wolf; sister-in-law Kara (Charles) Hash; aunt, Sandra (Bill Clark) Crampton; uncles, Terry (Robbie) Donahue and Daniel (Karen) Crampton; great aunt, Jean Haage; cousins, Robert (Carolyn) Crampton and their daughters, Kennedy (Debbie’s goddaughter) and Reagan, David (Kelly) Crampton and their son, William, Brendan (Brenda) Donahue and their daughter, Addison, Erin (Sean) Murphy and their daughter, Nora; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Simpson; step-father, Peter Frecchio; brother, Michael Frecchio; beloved uncle, William R. Crampton Jr.; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Debbie loved pets, especially her terriers, Peewee, Peanut, and Russell so, in lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in her memory to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, or the animal shelter of your choosing.
