Deanna Lee Lehr, lively, bright, drop dead gorgeous, creative, talented, phenomenal listener, brave warrior, left to be with God on August 25, 2018.
Deanna was born at home on a farm in Windsor, Colorado. She was the youngest of 5 children. At 17 she married & became a mom to her daughter, Kimberly. Just after turning 18 she got a Hodgkin’s cancer diagnosis. Deanna went with her mother to NYC where she embraced, as a BRAVE WARRIOR, experimental mantle radiation.
At 19 Deanna unexpectedly faced single motherhood as a BRAVE WARRIOR.
Deanna pursued Barnes Business College in Denver while her family supported her & her daughter. Deanna landed her first job at KRMA TV CHANNEL 6. Reaching for the stars with big dreams, she took a chance by moving to Los Angeles & landed a great job with Xerox.
Deanna was stunning & necks broke looking at her! God blessed her with great strength & beauty. She lived her life to the fullest; hard at work and play. She loved packing up her old VW Bug with beach gear, avocado & turkey sandwiches from her favorite café in Manhattan Beach & enjoying the beautiful beach & ocean. She was deeply loved by her friends with whom she’d throw Fondue dinner parties. She had a knack for decorating making the ugliest places look chic.
At 47 years old she was given a granddaughter, Melanie. She was the best grandmother. A move to Arizona in 2006 brought her closer to her daughter, granddaughter, son-in-law Steve & recent grandson-in-law Dariel. Sadly, Mantle Radiation took its toll & Deanna endured an abundance of medical crises over the years facing everything as a BRAVE WARRIOR.
Deanna stole hearts & stole a huge piece of ours in her death. She is deeply & forever missed.
