Dean Stoffer, age 79, of Salem, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 10:50 p.m. at the Vibra Hospital in Boardman with family and loved ones by his side. He was born September 22, 1936 in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late Milan Stoffer and Wilma (Owen) Blythe.
Dean worked at Quaker Manufacturing and was a self-employed Masonry/Carpenter. He was member of the Church at the Center, Friends Disaster Service, and the National Rifle Association. Dean enjoyed bowling, softball, and woodwork.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Miller) Stoffer whom he married March 22, 1958. Four daughters, Deanna (Jim) Ray of Salem, Doreen (Paul) Taylor of Salem, Dawn Kelly Stoffer of Salem, and Darby Deane (Matt) Mitchell of Greer, South Carolina; one sister, Barbara (George) Mordew of Salem; half brother, Dan (Linda) Blythe of Salem; half sister, Beverly (Norman) Price of Michigan; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, Donald William Stoffer, 1964; two brothers, Dale and Dwayne Stoffer; and sister, Sandy Orr.
