Dean S. Webb, 70 passed away May 6, 2021, at Providence Alaska Medical Center, Anchorage after a lengthy illness.
Dean graduated from the Arizona Heart Institute Foundation in 1990 receiving his diploma in Echocardiography. He was hired by Alaska Regional Hospital to institute their echocardiography program. He later was employed by Providence for over 20 years in their echocardiography program. In 2002, he was elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dean was known for his great sense of humor which was enjoyed by all. He had an infectious laugh, and a distinctive giggle. Dean was known for his care, empathy, and knowledge with his patients. He was very well respected with the cardiologists who relied at times on his aptitude and wisdom in the lab.
Dean is survived by his spouse, Amanda; two daughters and their spouses, Julie and Jamie and Ashley and Steve; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
