STEVENS, DEAN O., of Arcadia, Fl., formerly of Millersville, passed away at Sarasota Memorial Hospital on March 9, 2012. He was born October 30, 1932 in Alta Vista, Virginia. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He retired after many years of service as assistant director of Maryland Surplus Property Division of the University of Maryland. Dean was an avid golfer and a Past Exalted Ruler with the Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rossie; one son, Robin; and one brother, James W. Stevens. He is survived by his siblings, John C. Stevens and wife Jane and Nathalia Patterson and husband Donald; three sister-in-laws, Joyce Stevens, Noride Carder and husband Richard and Shelly Gifford; one brother-in-law, Todd Sullivan and host of other extended relatives.
