Dean Mackell passed peacefully from this world to the next on May 4, 2018. Dean was a Denver native, born in 1938 to Edward and Mary Mackell with his twin sister Donna Haskins (both affectionately known to each other as “Fathead”). He married Carol Mary Moser of St. Paul, MN on June 19, 1965. Dean is survived by wife Carol and his three children Jeff Mackell, Gregg (Heather) Mackell and Lisa (Pat) Mackell Moran. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Lauren Mackell, Connor Mackell and Katie Moran. In addition, he is survived by Donna (Terry) Haskins, and numerous nephews and nieces and their kids. Dean graduated from Cathedral High School in 1956 and then received a BA in Philosophy from Carroll College in Helena, MT before heading to the Army for a 2-year stint. He was a serial entrepreneur beginning with restaurant ownership then owning multiple shoe stores and finishing his career with a travel agency.
