Dean L. Decker passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 in Roseville, CA. Dean was born December 17, 1932, in Hopkins, MI, the son of Roy and Ethel (McBride) Decker. He was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church. Dean worked for many years at Root Spring Scraper Company, from which he retired. Dean had a love for his family, country, and all sports, especially baseball. He was an umpire for the Senior League Baseball teams and loved the Detroit Tigers. Other favorite pastimes were card games, fishing, and visiting with friends and family.

On May 11, 1957, he was united in marriage to Lucille (Hieb), who preceded him in death on March 29, 2003. In 2005, he was married to Connie (Duplessis) Decker until his death. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffery, two sisters; Irma Wagner and Lila Peak, and a brother, Wayne (Lurlene) Decker; and nephew, Dennis (Ethel) Whitmore.

Dean is survived by his children: Dean R. (Charlene) Decker, Deena (Curt) Noggle, D’lorah (Karlton) Alva-Castles and Andrea (Joe) Molina; grandchildren: Katarina Pizzo, Gabriella Decker, Cassie Lohaus, Alison and Benjamin Noggle, Monique (Joseph) Najar, Joshua (Cassie) Alva, Anthony (April) Alva, Nicholas (Babette) Alva, and Jason (Bonnie) Alva, as well as many Great-Grandchildren; brother, Paul Decker and a sister, Alice (Don) Srackengast: brother-in-law Alvin “Sonny” (Joyce) Hieb and several nieces and nephews.
