Dean Byrd, a loving and faithful husband for 45 years, a wonderful father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He retired from Mountain Brook High School after 33 years as a Guidance Counselor. He had the honor of being a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and sang in the choir at North Shelby Baptist Church, where music was his delight. He was an amazing man who was generous, loving, and always had a smile for everyone he met. He raised his family in Cahaba Heights where they made their home for over 40 years.
