De’Aire Jontae Gray was born May 19, 1992 to Reggie L. Gray and Tanya Denese Atkins in Gary, Indiana.
De’Aire confessed Christ at an early age. Before getting sick; he was an usher and he sang in the choir.
De’Aire graduated from Theo Bowman Leadership Academy, Class of 2010, where he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and running cross country and track. De’Aire had a personality that lit up a room. To know him was to love him. De’Aire was a hard worker. He worked at FedEx, Bright point, and Pitney Bowes. He often held 2 jobs at one time.
De’Aire had been battling with Schizophrenia since his diagnosis in 2015. Like most people with schizophrenia, the voices had a tendency to alter his new way of life! Before his illness, DeAire’s greatest love was the time that he spent with his daughter, his one true love!

He leaves to cherish his memories : his only daughter: De’Aura Syri-Marie Gray; his mother: Tanya Denese Atkins; sister: Robbin Ann Sutton of Indianapolis, IN, big sister: Ronisha Denese Triplett (Anthony) of Gary, IN; two brothers: Anthony Thirkield Jr of Indianapolis, IN and Reggie Gray (Shawanda) of South Bend, IN; grandmother: Mildred Lauderdale; nieces: Adrionna Denese Thirkield, Genesis Karen Hall, Madison; nephew: Reggie Gray and a host of family and friends!
