Deacon Manny L. Ramirez, 70, of Fountain Hill passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 while in the care of St. Luke’s Hospice. He was the loving husband of Jeanne (LoPiccolo) Ramirez for 48 years. Born in Manhattan, NYC, he was the son of the late Manuel and Norma (Figueroa) Ramirez. Manny proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy. He worked as a compliance officer for the Atomic Energy Commission, Department of Energy, and the City of Allentown as a federal compliance officer for the human relations department, until retiring. He had attended Maryknoll Seminary in Clark Summit and the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, PR. In 1979, Manny became an ordained Deacon with the Diocese of Brooklyn, and most recently served from 1999 – 2018 at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Deacon Manny lived for his family and his congregation and will be missed for his wisdom, leadership and wonderful sense of humor.

Surviving: In addition to his loving wife, Jeanne; son, Joseph and his wife Jessica of Breinigsville; grandchildren, Julia, Gabriel, Matthew; sister, Mary Colon and her husband Fernando of Allentown; sister-in-law, Sister Maryann Seton LoPiccolo of Brooklyn;

brother-in-law, Frank LoPiccolo of Henderson, Nevada; many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Luis Manuel.
