Henry Lee Moultrie, Sr. was born in Sardis, Alabama on April 8, 1935. He was the youngest child of the late Eddie and Eula Moultrie.

In 1955, Henry graduated from Shiloh High School. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama. On March 29, 1959, he married the love of his life, the late Juanita Andrews Moultrie. This union lasted 41 years and produced three children: Henry Jr. (deceased), Madonna and Malinda.

During his lifetime, Henry was employed at Nifty Paper Company, Western Grain and Bowman Transportation where he retired from in 1997. Henry departed this life on August 25, 2015.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters: Madonna Roy (Anthony Sr.) and Malinda Hubbard (Mark Sr.) both of Birmingham, AL; eight grandchildren: Ladarius Hardy (Sheronda) of Houston, TX, Henry Moultrie III, Anthony Roy Jr., Christina Moultrie, Andrew Roy, Ashley Roy, Mark Hubbard Jr., and Mekhi Hubbard, all of Birmingham, AL; one great-granddaughter, Kendall Marie Fomby of Oxford, AL; one brother, Clint Moultrie of Lackawanna, NY; a special nephew whom he considered like a brother, George Spivey (Lillie) of Birmingham, AL; four sisters-in-law: Thelma Ross of Birmingham, AL, Georgia Bush (Ervin Sr.) of Sacramento, CA, Freddie Mae Sims of Mobile, AL, and Anita Foster (Cornelius) of San Marcos, TX; one brother-in-law: Rev. Dr. C. W. Andrews Sr. (Doris) of Spokane, WA; one sister-in-law: Rosa Mae Andrews of Everett, WA. He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends to cherish him in memory
