OBIT Dayton Woodson Ables, 71, of Rt. 3, Lost Creek, Long Run Community, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 in a local nursing home following an extended illness. Mr. Ables was a self employed gravedigger and was employed with S & S Landfill. He was born in Weston on March 23, 1939, a son of the late Walter and Emily Nicholson Ables. He was married to Judith Ables, who preceded him in death on February 21, 2010. Surviving are six children, Judith Anderson and her companion Douglas McElroy, Clarksburg, Dayton Walter Ables, Jr., Lost Creek, Mary Lynn Ables, Lost Creek, Loretta M. Ables, Buckhannon, James Michael Ables and his wife Sherry Lynn, Lost Creek, and Harley Woodson Ables, Clarksburg; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Ables, Clarksburg; one sister, Daisy Blair, Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Sue Ables; and six brothers and sisters, Vincent Ables, Frances Ables, Mary “Marie” Ables, twin brother Harley Ables, Virginia Mick, and Dee Ables. Mr. Ables was Baptist by faith.
