Dayle Dene (Bromley) Freeman, 60, a resident of Hackensack, Minn. and former resident of Bullhead City, AZ passed away at her home unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.

Dayle was born on Dec. 6, 1951 to Charles “Chuck” and Deana (Sparks) Bromley in Waterloo, Iowa.  She was baptized at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church on June 29, 1955.  She grew up in Hackensack, Minn., living above her parents’ family business, Bromley’s Ten Mile Lake Inn.  She attended both Walker Elementary and High School, graduating in 1970.

In 1975, Dayle married Gerald “Jerry” Freeman in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  Together they had two sons, Anthony “Tony” Freeman and Chad Freeman.  While living in Walker, Dayle was employed at Scott’s 200 Club, Chase on the Lake, and Bieloh’s Family Foods.

In 1984, Dayle and her two sons moved to Bullhead City, AZ to be closer to her parents.  While there, she worked many years for Sam’s Town Casino in Laughlin, Nevada.

To be closer to her sons and their families, she moved back to Hackensack, Minn. in 2010.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202.  After returning to Minnesota, Dayle fell ill and spent many months rehabilitating under the excellent care of the staff at Golden Living Center.

Dayle is survived by her sons Anthony (Susan) Freeman and Chad (Missy) Freeman of Walker; two granddaughters; half-sister Terry Bengman of Detroit Lakes; and nieces. Dayle is preceded in death by her parents; and brother Scott Bromley.
